Our History
The Fort Myers – Naples Church was planted in September 2000 by a group of visionary disciples that were gathered from different parts of Florida who had a heart for their families and the lost souls in the South West area of Florida. Since that beginning, we have witnessed many come to Christ through faithful labor, answered prayers and the sacrificial contributions of members and resources from numerous other congregations over the years. We presently span from Port Charlotte to Naples.
Our Mission
The Fort Myers – Naples Church embraces the commission of Christ to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.” From our very beginning, we have been committed to making disciples both locally and around the world. We currently contribute to financially and spiritually supporting missions in South America in conjunction with the Florida Missions Council and continue to contribute to H.O.P.E. Worldwide.
Our Members
Our members are from every background, nationality, ethnicity, and walk of life with one commitment in common: the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We believe in celebrating and valuing cultural and ethnic diversity as we work, fellowship, share and pray together as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Our Church
Our church comes together on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings to worship in Estero (the city between Fort Myers and Naples), occasionally meeting in “House Churches” and “Park Services”. We are broken up geographically by “Family Group”. There is a Naples Family, Ft. Myers Family, East Ft. Myers Family, Estero Family and Singles Family.
Our Ministry Leader has been given the charge of equipping the brothers and sisters in South West Florida to effectively evangelize the area with the saving message of Jesus as well as helping one another mature in Christ.
In addition to the full-time minister, we also have a Core Group, which consists of spiritually mature volunteers with whom the minister consults concerning ministry ideas and plans. This group also contributes to periodic staff evaluations. We also have a Church Board which oversees the finances and legal matters in the church.
